Why have you chosen real estate as your career?
Like most people I have always had an interest in real estate. Whilst engaged in other career paths over the years the desire to be involved in the real estate industry was always there and remained strong. When the opportunity presented itself, I jumped at it. I thoroughly enjoy the flexibility it offers, the chance to work both indoors and out, the great people you meet and the life long friends you make. It's personally very rewarding solving peoples real estate needs or problems and seeing them achieve great outcomes.
How long have you lived in Port Macquarie?
My family and I are fast approaching seventeen years. Just three to go and I hear you can call yourself a local.
How would your best friend describe you?
I would certainly like to think the words trustworthy, loyal, reliable, dependable, on-time and a man of his word were somewhere towards the top of the list.
What qualities do you have that contribute to your success in real estate?
Being approachable and a good listener and starting out with a smile. Being genuinely interested in peoples needs. To be brave enough to tell people the truth about the market and not just telling them what they want to hear. After fifteen years in the industry having a good memory for names, addresses and events helps a lot.
Major achievements...
Celebrating twenty five years of marriage with my very understanding wife, Jo. Having two great kids who are both happy, healthy and very nice people, both of whom I am very proud. Making that big move from Sydney to Port Macquarie with our family all those years ago when so many of our friends thought we were crazy. However, most are now envious.
What are your career goals?
To still be here in ten years time with a smile on my face, enjoying what I'm doing.
